FluidoScope FS400
Universal ultrasonic Doppler device for laboratory, research and development
The FluidoScope FS400 is an ultrasonic device for detecting the scattering of ultrasonic waves on bubbles/particles in a flowing liquid, for measuring the attenuation in the measuring system and for determining the volume flow of the liquid.
With the help of the measuring system, a large number of parameters can be obtained that allow the liquid to be characterized precisely.
For scattering measurements, special ultrasonic probes are available for use on tubing systems or for use directly in a flowing liquid.
Probes based on the transit time measurement method are used for flow measurements.
Other probes for special applications or other tubing sizes can be supplied or developed on request.
The associated PC software provides various tools for displaying and evaluating the measured signals. The evaluations are carried out in parallel with the measurement and are diagram-based.
The simultaneous use of microbubble and flow probes makes it possible to determine the gas or particle concentration.
The frequency-dependent backscattering can be determined by using pencil probes of different frequencies and the frequency-dependent attenuation can also be determined by selecting different gate depths.
Pulse Doppler device with software-adjustable parameters:
Transmission frequency
Received signal amplification
Depth and width of the measuring gate
Inputs / outputs:
Universal probe connection
Connection for flow probes
Connection for external power supply unit
Audio output for Doppler signal
USB-A socket for data connection
Transmission frequencies:
1, 2, 4, 8 MHz
Accessories:
Loudspeaker for playback of the Doppler signal
Power supply unit for supplying power to the Fluidoscope400 measuring electronics
Environmentally friendly packaging for Fluidoscope400 device and accessories
The device is supplied with a measurement and evaluation software for the PC. The devices are connected to the PC via a USB port. The software allows up to three devices to be used in parallel, providing a large number of measured values with up to six probes simultaneously in real time.
The software allows the device and probe parameters to be set in order to best adapt the device to the respective measurement task.
The respective measurement tasks are defined by selecting the corresponding measurement and evaluation diagrams, which can be freely arranged in the working area of the program interface. Among other things, the Doppler I-Q data, the Doppler spectrum, the volume flow, the sensor temperature and various statistical scattering values can be measured, calculated and displayed.
The device including the respective probes is assigned via the settings menu of the respective diagram.
