Together with the perfusionists and the surgeons of the university clinic Halle GAMPT is constantly improving the handling and application of the Bubble Counter when monitoring the microbubble activities during extracorporeal circulation (HLM, ECMO). Thereby new developments in soft- and hardware, especially new probe types, can be tested extensively before market launch by experienced users to increase patient safety during open heart surgery.
